At
TRA-Mage, our snow brackets are engineered from the fail point
of the roof system. Through proper testing and research, we
have developed unique engineered charts. These charts calculate
the number of snow brackets required and their correct distribution
as provided in a roofing square layout based on the roof surface
type, sheathing type and thickness, snow load, and roof slope.

Bracket D Technical Guide
Tile
Roof Accessories (TRA-Mage) Snow Bracket D has been engineered
for use with all asphalt shingles manufactured in the United States,
metric or standard. The TRA MAGE snow bracket is designed to be
installed as shingles are being installed on the roof.
For optimum assurance that snow and ice will not slide, always
use the snow load/slope chart to determine the number of snow
brackets per square of shingle. Snow loads vary. Check with the
local building department to verify the snow load for your area.
INSTALLATION
The snow bracket should be installed vertically to the horizontal
course of shingles. The triangular end of the snow bracket should
be placed at the eave end of the shingle. Install four (4) 2"
roofing nails in holes of the bracket. The snow bracket should
be flush with the surface of the shingle. Continue up the roof,
covering the nail end of snow bracket with the next course of
shingles.
