At
TRA-Mage, our snow brackets are engineered from the fail point
of the roof system. Through proper testing and research, we
have developed unique engineered charts. These charts calculate
the number of snow brackets required and their correct distribution
as provided in a roofing square layout based on the roof surface
type, sheathing type and thickness, snow load, and roof slope.

Bracket F Technical Guide
Tile
Roof Accessories (TRA-Mage) Snow Bracket F has been engineered
for use with wood shake shingles and slate roofing.
For optimum assurance that snow and ice will not slide, always
use the snow load / slope chart to determine the number of snow
brackets per square of shingle or slate. Snow loads vary. Check
with the local building department to verify the snow load for
your area.
TRA-Mage Snow Bracket or Snow Guard F can be installed on existing
or new construction.
INSTALLATION
After wood shake or slate has been installed on the deck, place
Snow Bracket F on top of wood shake or slate with the triangular
end of bracket flush with the bottom end of wood shake or slate
course. Nail the bracket in place with four (4) 2" roofing
nails in holes provided on the bracket, through roof sheathing.
Proceed up roof, covering nail end of bracket with next course
of roofing.
